Bill McGowan
I've struggled with my weight for my entire life, swinging from 362 pounds, down to 230 pounds in 2000, and more recently got back up to 330 lbs in March 2013 when I hit "critical mass" yet again. I decided on March 15 to put the pedal to the metal and go full steam ahead into a doctor-supervised aggressive weight-loss program changing my diet to mostly soup originating from Healthy Choice entrées cooked in a microwave then tossed into a blender with spices. That change, along with high-speed walking (4.3-4.5 mph) several times per day and lots of Concept2 rowing machine workouts, allowed me to drop my weight from 330 lbs on March 15 of this year to 225 lbs on August 30, 2013, in just over 5 months. I went from a 52" waist to a 38" waist and a size 56 long suit to 44 long suit. I will compete at the CRASH-B Sprints in 2014 for sure.
